Price Increase for Essential Waxing Services

To our waxing clients,

With the utmost transparency I share this important information with you.

Whilst I am grateful for your loyalty, trust and demand for our services in male hair waxing, I believe permanent hair reduction and removal is the way forward. We will continue to offer waxing as a need to only basis for those who prefer. This work is physically demanding, and despite having always paid the highest wages for beauty therapists in Western Australia, it remains challenging to retain staff in such a physically demanding role.

Due to a significant increase in service demand, we are raising our waxing prices effective November 4th, 2024.

PLEASE NOTE: All appointments booked prior to the price increase will remain at the previous rate.

Why?

Many of you may already be aware that male waxing is not something taught in Western Australian beauty colleges. The method and techniques used at MrWax, were initially pioneered by myself in Perth dating back to the summer of 2002 at the time of my radio interview discussing male waxing on 92.9fm.

As the original male waxing specialist of Perth, I’ve personally trained all of our therapists from the ground up, none of whom have ever had prior experience in this field. I’ve been fortunate to have employed dedicated, hard-working staff who have stayed with us for long periods, despite the physical demands of the job.

The increase in our prices respects our therapists’ hard work and ensures we can continue providing top-level service to you. My goal is to avoid burnout for our team, as the demands on them grow with our client base.

Updated Pricing

We will only be offering essential waxing services not done by the average beautician, beauty therapist or cosmetologist (barber, hair-dresser/make-up artist) these services exclusively being back, genital and male facial waxing.

Back Wax: from $145 We have one trained therapist only. The service includes hair removal up to the neckline (not hairline) the top of the arms and down to the top of the buttocks. Hair on the top arm and buttock line, is faded out and blended with clippers. Clients who aren’t regular with appointments requiring trimming before commencement, and those who take a larger amount of time due to a larger area of hair to cover, will be charged at $165.

Genital Wax: $180 Performed exclusively by me, Tricia, the area includes the anal area (not bottom cheeks).
Hair on the inner thigh, stomach and fold where the buttocks meet the thigh, is faded out and blended with clippers.

Rectal (Inner Buttocks) Wax: $150

Brow Tidy: $55 Nostrils: $55 Ears: $65

Brows, Nostrils & Ears: $150 Brows, Nostrils, Ears & Grey Blend: $170

For those considering permanent hair reduction, we are offering our current waxing clients, the opportunity to ‘try’ with a once off treatment at the same price as the new waxing prices. This may be a great time for you to consider long-term hair reduction and experience the comfort compared to much more painful waxing. Once an average course of 8-10 treatments is completed, 1-4 one off treatments a year are mostly required to maintain smooth skin results.

 

A Note on Genital Hair Removal

It’s important to understand that treating men’s genitals is a specialised service that not all beauty therapists are comfortable providing. Some therapists may not wish to offer this service due to personal reasons, religious reasons, or their partner’s preferences. I believe this treatment requires maturity plus a nurse like mindset.

Employees working with us, have made it their choice to work in our unique environment and the forefront of a men’s aesthetic clinic, accepting to be trained in men’s genital hair removal. Currently, I am the only person at our clinic offering genital hair removal services, as our Beauty Therapist of four months, has not yet been trained in this area.

Your trust and loyalty mean the world to us, and we sincerely appreciate the support you’ve shown us over the years.

We understand it is your choice to remain with us. Due to my care for you, if you choose to go elsewhere, I advise making the call to ask for an experienced operator, trained in the skills required for men’s hair removal. It takes confidence, skill, strong skin support and experience.
